Network Marketing Good or Bad?
Network Marketing, good or bad? That is a question many people ask as they investigate MLM opportunities, either on the Internet or offline.
Whether someone is approached by a friend or they research a home based business on the Internet, they naturally have questions about whether Network Marketing is for them, or more pointedly, can they succeed in Network Marketing.
Network Marketing has many aspects that can make it a wise choice for someone who wants to start a business of their own. Let's look at a few.
First, there is usually very little initial investment, usually only a few hundred dollars. Any other business, even a small business requires thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in initial capital to get started.
With Network Marketing, you can start and run your business on a shoe string and still have success.
Another plus to Network Marketing as a home based business is that it doesn't take a lot of specialized knowledge such as a degree. All one needs is some basic skills in relationship building and the ability to read and follow instructions.
The tools required are, again, minimal, with a replicated web page usually provided by the parent company. Brochures, training, audio/video tools, etc., are all offered by the MLM company for the associates.
So, for someone with limited resources, Network Marketing is perfect for an easy and quick start up home based business.
So, Network Marketing, good or bad? Let's look at the negative aspect of MLM.
But, is there a downside to MLM? Of course. Most MLM companies usually have a substandard program for teaching marketing to their distributors, especially Internet network marketing.
They are still using the old techniques that have been around for decades. These have some measure of success, but there are better ways that can facilitate success in network marketing.
There are three areas that challenge anyone involved in Network Marketing. First, lack of leads. If you run out of people to talk to, you are out of business. Especially, if you are just starting out. Talking to strangers at malls is not very productive and is certainly not fun. Neither is placing flyers on windshields.
The second challenge is lack of cash flow. It takes some time to build a Network Marketing business to the point it is producing a significant cash flow, so, you need to have something in place that will provide cash while you are building your business.
The third challenge is lack of marketing knowledge. Most MLM companies don't teach real marketing and the new distributor is left to their own devices to try to find a way to market their product and business opportunity.
So, as you can see, the question Network Marketing, good or bad, is answered with a yes.
The real question then becomes, how do you make it all good? The answer is internet marketing.
